When you start designing new graphics, the first step is to select the product or products you will be producing. You can add graphics under different categories, such as sports, weddings, children, Christmas, etc., so that users can easily find the type of graphics they are looking for. Product graphics are a combination of different elements that function like layers in Photoshop or Illustrator.
The element types are: Image, Text, Graphic Element, and Logo.
The Image area displays the customer's own photo. There can be one or multiple image areas (usually there is only one, but for example, a Player Card has two, front and back, since it is double-sided. Photo sheets will have as many image areas as there are photos on the sheet. A photo folder with three images will have three image areas).
You can create an example Text field in the graphic, which the customer can edit themselves.
A Graphic Element is an area on the product where you place your graphic design.
The Logo element can be used, for example, in sports photography events, posters, and group photos. The photographer can upload a logo to a specific event, which will then appear in the designated logo area.
Graphics are added to your Product Graphics Series. Create a new graphics series, for example, “Weddings” or “Sports Teams,” and then create a new design template.
Select a category, for example, “Thank You,” and choose the product for which you are creating the template, such as “Thank You Card 10x20 cm Landscape.”
Create a Photoshop file that is 20 cm wide and 10 cm high, select the entire area, and check the pixel dimensions. Enter these dimensions into the new product graphic layer and click OK. You now have the base for your new graphic.
Next, add an element and select the graphic you created. This will serve as the background for your thank you card. Then, add an image element and adjust the size and position of the photo opening. You can also add a text and data field, such as “First Name,” which will display the customer’s first name on the sample card. You can customize the font and color as needed. Once you are finished, save the settings, and your new Thank You Card graphic will be ready.
